NG all over again.

It's very hard to write a serious review about stuff that's so typically Newgrounds, and most of all, seeing Rummy0 uploaded this...

I'll try anyway, art: 7/10
asdf style, but still nothing too big, there's also nothing you can change here, since it's a parody.

Voices: 5/10
Very... convincing, again I know it's because of a parody, but I can't give very much higher than a 5/10

Humor: 8/10
Nice go at a parody, 'nuff said.

Then it's overall about a 7/10 and so a 4/5.

This was in my faves for a while, but...

...I didn't want to review it, because it's such a fantastic upload I coulnd't bring up words for it. This is, indeed truly a lost art form that makes up the base of Newgrounds.

Art: 10/10
Perfect. Just perfect. Perfect use of effects and simplistic mout- and eye-movement.

Also, thanks for the subs, if I try to listen without watching, I can't understand a word of it (English is my 3rd language).

Music: 10/10
Catchy, great lyrics, very exagerated and wrong in so many ways.

Since this is a music video I won't review any further, I enjoyed this very much and this is actually one of the faves of my faves. Thanks a lot for uploading and good job.

Overall 10/10 and 5/5.

Beautiful in it's own simplicity.

Of course, I came here thanks to a certain forum thread, and since promise is promise I'm typing a review here.
Let me say, first of all I don't like 'advertising' via a forum, but since the flash was good I'll let it slip.

Art: 8/10
Normally I'd hate videocamera things like this, especially from a DS, but you had a very original concept, which I liked very much. The simplicity in the artwork (drawings) really made that in 'sync' too. I don't know if this was well thought out by you, or just pure coincidence, but good job.

Also, the animation: very, very good. Just how many different drawings did you have to make on such a horribly small screen?

Music: 7/10
Well chosen, that's already a 6/10 worth, plus the small yoshi-sound effect, nice add. 1/10 bonus ^^

Concept: 8/10
This is kinda funny, it's original and horrible unoriginal at the same time, but the way you changed the unoriginal part (video camera record) into such an original thing, the animation of the pictochat drawings, was amazingly well done. Good job on that too.

Overall, I'd say an 8/10 and I'll give a 5/5 because this flash is also horribly underrated.

Good job, I'll go check the other one out, but I'm not gonna review that one.

PowerRangerYELLOW responds:

Thank you for taking the time to write such a well thought out review and i pretty much have always been a shameless self promoter for my flashes since day one.

I'm really pleased to see that you have enjoyed the show and as for the other pictochat movie it's more like a quick piece of shit made for the dailytoons.

-PowerRangerYELLOW

I laughed a little

Yeah, it's better than most of your flashed, an original concept too.

Art: 8/10
It was very good, the characters were drawn well and (most of) the enviroment too. The houses weren't that good, how does that come? Also, the car can be drawn waaaay better, google pictures has a pretty good source of cars you can draw, if that helps that is.

Anyway, the animation was smooth and the character's mouth movement was also impressive. I can see you've worked a lot more on this project than others, and seeing the author comments now, you did.

Voices: 3/10
No, they were not good. It was better than the previous flash I gave a review to, 'GRANDPA'S STORY...', but when the two guys were falling it sounded absolutely NOT real. Even if you sound like an ADHD-kid having a heavy attack while recording the voices, that's worth it right? This is quite a large point of attention. The rest (The drive-in in space, the guy who 'didn't order a matress' and the two guys when they weren't falling, about 1/10th of the flash) were good though.

Concept: 6/10
Funny idea how everything worked out, but most if it was predictable, still good job!

I hope this review was also helpful for your next flash, now I'm gonna check out the rest of your flashes too.

Overall score: 5,7/10, so a 6/10
And since the current score is close to the 3/5 it deserves I'm gonna give this a 3/5 too.

Keep it up!

JKSSN responds:

Thanks for the review again!
I agree, the screaming sucks and I could have improve my drawing of the car.
But I cant really shout cuz I live in a condo.
Thanks again!

t'is nice...

Of course, I had to watch part one then this one. I liked both, but it did seem lacking.

Art: 8/10
Well done, background was good, characters were good animation was smooth. 'Nuff said.

Voices: 5/10
I'm sorry, I did not like them. Perhaps next time you could use e.g. a better mic and make everything sound more... natural.

Music: 6/0
Well chosen from the audio portal, but it's horribly unoriginal, you could try to dig in some more and find something less-pokémon related, but still match the fighting scene.

Humor/story: 7/10
Very original, I'll give you that! I have never seen a magicarp use solarbeam(part 1) or evolve on command, or make a kakuna über-gar :P
However, the humor apart from that was a little dry, not very much wrong with that.

Overall I did enjoy this and I hope to see diferent concepts of you. Thanks for sharing this.

Overall score: 6/10 3/5

PostTimeskipSam responds:

The microphone wasn't the problem it was just I was constantly yelling into the microphone and didn't use an compressors, but it's no excuse. I'm glad you still enjoyed it despite the some of the audio. Thanks!

I saw this in 'Today's best' and...

I like it, first I had to watch the first five of course, so I did and I will review all the six 'PKMN: World of Chaos' in one go:

Overall art: 9/10
Simple sprite use, almost at it's best well done at that. I liked how you changed the text balloon from the first five to mouth-movement, very well done. I had to get used to the voice acting at first, but it actually really works better that way.

Voices: 8/10
I think the voices can get a little more serious (more difference between characters if you use the same voice actor for different characters and make the voices sound more... natural), otherwise very well done, grand improvement!

Story/humor: 8/10
I like where the story is going, very much at that, enough to make me wanna watch the seventh part, or more to come. The slight hints of humor is a very nice change to what I'm used to at NG and it gives a more professional feeling to all of this. Very well done too!

Characters: 8/10
I normally don't review any characters, but I like very much what you've used from pokémon itself and added new characters and their personalities (I was a gardevoir fan already, mostly because of pokémon mystery dungeon, but I really like what you've made her character into).

Overall It's a 8/10 and a 4/5. Really congrats on Daily 3rd Place and I hope to see more of you soon! Great job, keep it going!

Good, but you could've done more with it.

My first impression was a 7/10 because it WAS pretty funny, but you could've done so much more with the concept.

Art: 7/10
It worked, nothing that special. The animation was smooth, good job at that and the non-moving art was just great.

Voices: 6/10
Too soft. On itself that's no problem, I can adjust volume in one second, but then it seemed as if I was standing at the Niagra falls. The way the voices flowed into each other with the talking-thought moment at the end was done really well though.

Music: 8/10
Very little music was used, but they seemed to fit in the mood, so good job on that too.

Humor: 7/10
It was funny, because it's so true, but that's where it stopped. I did not like how it abrubtly ended, but that's something you can use for a next flash.

Huge congratulations on Daily Feature and I hope to see more of you, seeing how this worked out I think you can make better flashes next time!

Total score:
7/10
4/5

aww

That's really sweet of you!

Animation: 8/10

It was good, it fitted great with what you were trying to express (assuming you think you're just a simple guy in a simple world having the greatest girl ever) so good job.
Also it didn't bore me one sec, everything went fast, but fast enough to read everything and such.

Music: 8/10
Not really my type of music, but that's since this song isn't made for me and... I'll leave it with that. Just well done.

Concept: 10/10
Really sweet to give a birthday present this way, I wish I could actually go and do that (unfortunally I have NO talent :P)

Overall it's an 8,25, but I'll give a 9 for now, good job!

p.s. YOU LIED! THERE IS NO SUCH SITE AS doesnthaveawebsite.com!

I must say, I'm slightly impressed.

As a boy of 6, maybe 7 years old I got to share my dad's old laptop with my mother, it was a small, but heavy windows 95 laptop. Now I'm typing on a brand new asus with windows 7 on it. I love windows and always will, I enjoyed this parody very much, especially seeing the work (horrors) you had to go through making this.

Art: 5,5/10
Well, it wasn't good, but wasn't bad either. I actually give it a 5,5 because it was just at the 'border' of acceptable. The animation was, kinda fluid, but it seemed as if it lacked a bit...
The characters were chosen well, I don't think I should comment on that further.
Nice detail though: I liked how you impersonated Jobs' way of standing.

Voices: 7/10
Well chosen, monotone as it fits, 'nuff said.

Story: 7/10
Seeing it as a parody on newgrounds I am very impressed with that; most of them are just... TOO hateful or ADHD for me. This one was calm and still funny, so good job on that!

That all together makes a 6,5 which I will bump up to a '7'.

Good job, keep it up!
7/10 3/5.

.....Damn.

That... Left me speechless.

Man, that was a short, but touching story. Heh, it's actually hard to find words, but I'll try:

Art: 9/10
Great, beautifully drawn and fluid animation, also great effects used!

Music: 10/10
Fitted perfectly. 'Nuff said

Story: 10/10

Yeah, this is where you left me speechless. I love (SPOILERS!!!!!) the beginning where the two little creatures (fire boy and water girl) met and came to notice they couldn't touch each other. You have worked out that concept truly perfect, it couldn't have been better!

Big congrats for the three awards and great job you guys!

10/10 5/5 Keep it up!
