Well...? I'm waiting for the full thing!

Before I go into review details, I first want to say that Elfen Lied was one of the best manga I've ever read. The concept of the vector arms was original and most of the characters were great to have in the series.

The flashback part was well put in the middle of the story and I must say, you've animated that quite impressive:

Art/Animation: 8/10

No bullshit, you just animated the (emotionally) most brutal part and did a fine job at that. I disagree that it looks old, this looks just fine. The colors 'made sense' and the emotions were (fairly) well drawn. I'd like to mention, however that the movement of the... loose bodyparts and the blood were done a little unnatural. I'm not sure how hard it is to make that more realistic, but that's a slight reminder from me.

Music/Adio: 9/10
Not THAT bad quality and it fitted well. I would have liked some more music (at the silent parts, apart from the bloodshed you can make the music softer).

I'm not gonna review concept, since this is from another story and it's a teaser, so here's the total score:

Overall that makes an 8,5/10 rounded up to a 9/10 and a 4/5. Keep it up and please send me a PM with the link to the full version, because I'll definately forget to check... Sorry :P

mikuru15 responds:

wow, im impressed with the review, thankyou so much for understanding C:
thanx alot for the tips, it was really helpful

A dastardly well made flash!

I loved all the small details and of course, the (my god so mature) humor.

Art: 10/10
Nothing to improve here, it was smooth and simple. Also well done on the emotions.

Music: 9/10
Fitted really great. Royalty-free music is always a good option, well chosen.

Humor/concept: 8/10
I love all the small details, as mentioned before and the, at first very dry humor, which ended with a small modern... twist. Well done.

All together it's a 9/10 and so a 5/5. Very well done

thinking-man responds:

Thanks, but good animation?

Beautiful in it's own simplicity.

Of course, I came here thanks to a certain forum thread, and since promise is promise I'm typing a review here.
Let me say, first of all I don't like 'advertising' via a forum, but since the flash was good I'll let it slip.

Art: 8/10
Normally I'd hate videocamera things like this, especially from a DS, but you had a very original concept, which I liked very much. The simplicity in the artwork (drawings) really made that in 'sync' too. I don't know if this was well thought out by you, or just pure coincidence, but good job.

Also, the animation: very, very good. Just how many different drawings did you have to make on such a horribly small screen?

Music: 7/10
Well chosen, that's already a 6/10 worth, plus the small yoshi-sound effect, nice add. 1/10 bonus ^^

Concept: 8/10
This is kinda funny, it's original and horrible unoriginal at the same time, but the way you changed the unoriginal part (video camera record) into such an original thing, the animation of the pictochat drawings, was amazingly well done. Good job on that too.

Overall, I'd say an 8/10 and I'll give a 5/5 because this flash is also horribly underrated.

Good job, I'll go check the other one out, but I'm not gonna review that one.

PowerRangerYELLOW responds:

Thank you for taking the time to write such a well thought out review and i pretty much have always been a shameless self promoter for my flashes since day one.

I'm really pleased to see that you have enjoyed the show and as for the other pictochat movie it's more like a quick piece of shit made for the dailytoons.

-PowerRangerYELLOW

I laughed a little

Yeah, it's better than most of your flashed, an original concept too.

Art: 8/10
It was very good, the characters were drawn well and (most of) the enviroment too. The houses weren't that good, how does that come? Also, the car can be drawn waaaay better, google pictures has a pretty good source of cars you can draw, if that helps that is.

Anyway, the animation was smooth and the character's mouth movement was also impressive. I can see you've worked a lot more on this project than others, and seeing the author comments now, you did.

Voices: 3/10
No, they were not good. It was better than the previous flash I gave a review to, 'GRANDPA'S STORY...', but when the two guys were falling it sounded absolutely NOT real. Even if you sound like an ADHD-kid having a heavy attack while recording the voices, that's worth it right? This is quite a large point of attention. The rest (The drive-in in space, the guy who 'didn't order a matress' and the two guys when they weren't falling, about 1/10th of the flash) were good though.

Concept: 6/10
Funny idea how everything worked out, but most if it was predictable, still good job!

I hope this review was also helpful for your next flash, now I'm gonna check out the rest of your flashes too.

Overall score: 5,7/10, so a 6/10
And since the current score is close to the 3/5 it deserves I'm gonna give this a 3/5 too.

Keep it up!

JKSSN responds:

Thanks for the review again!
I agree, the screaming sucks and I could have improve my drawing of the car.
But I cant really shout cuz I live in a condo.
Thanks again!

t'is nice...

Of course, I had to watch part one then this one. I liked both, but it did seem lacking.

Art: 8/10
Well done, background was good, characters were good animation was smooth. 'Nuff said.

Voices: 5/10
I'm sorry, I did not like them. Perhaps next time you could use e.g. a better mic and make everything sound more... natural.

Music: 6/0
Well chosen from the audio portal, but it's horribly unoriginal, you could try to dig in some more and find something less-pokémon related, but still match the fighting scene.

Humor/story: 7/10
Very original, I'll give you that! I have never seen a magicarp use solarbeam(part 1) or evolve on command, or make a kakuna über-gar :P
However, the humor apart from that was a little dry, not very much wrong with that.

Overall I did enjoy this and I hope to see diferent concepts of you. Thanks for sharing this.

Overall score: 6/10 3/5

PostTimeskipSam responds:

The microphone wasn't the problem it was just I was constantly yelling into the microphone and didn't use an compressors, but it's no excuse. I'm glad you still enjoyed it despite the some of the audio. Thanks!

Second 'Divided by zero' flash I've seen...

...And I like it. The animantion was great, it reminded me a bit of Egoraptor's, but a bit less... ADHD?

Animation: 9/10
It was great, I liked how every emotion came to it's rights and everything seemed to go smoothly, great job!

Audio: 9/10
Well, mostly I judge audio in the way if it annoys me or not, if not I give it a '7'.
You used two voice actors, if I'm not mistaken and they were chosen well.
Everything seemed realistic and nothing like annoying.
The computer voice was also done very well.

Story: 7/10
Well, with 'Divided by zero' you can't go very far, but you did very well. The thing is, I only saw /0 come by once, so I would've liked to see more about that, but otherwise I enjoyed it very much, so thank you!

Overall rate 9/10 and 4/5 (average for all)
Keep it up!

ScaredyDave responds:

Thanks for the feedback and kind words! Much appreciated!

Huge congrats on 3rd place!

I really like what you did here, good choice of music and good drawing!

Audio: 9/10
The music was awesomely chosen and good that you put everything in the author comments. The thing is, what is the first rave song? I'm not sure if it was in the authors comments.

Drawing: 8/10
Nothing bad to say, I wasn't jumping out of my chair and like WOW! but still seriously good. you might want to make stuff like walls a bit more elobrate, but nothing to complain, aigain.

Humor: 7/10
It's cool, the concept is come up with nice and resolved my boredom, I thank you for that.
The thing is, it's fun to watch it after a few weeks later, but it's not like I can watch this every week and still laugh hard.

After all I give you a 4/5 and a 8/10.
I must say, you did inspire me to write a (waaaay) more elobrate review than normal, so kudos for that.

You deserved daily 3rd place and I hope to see some more in the future!

WooleyWorld responds:

Hot damn.

Thanks for the nice review.

Wow, I'm surprised that this got past.

There is just so much you could improve:
- Better sound quality
- Better voice acting
- Use better drawings
- Many, many more.

The guy below me is right: Everything by Everyone...

FlatBadger responds:

I don't understand why you assholes are surprised that TOTW movies are not top quality.

Aw man, this is perfect!

The animation was drawn so well!
The music was good chosen (figures, it IS the Tron: Legacy tune, but whatever) AND the special effects (e.g. smoke etc.) were awesome!

The idea was simple and sweet, and you made it into something that could actually turn out to be the best commercial this movie ever had!

Keep it up!

DangerousBob responds:

Thank you. I did put it in a commercial contest so I guess thats good! :D

I am so sorry!

When this was under judgement, the first loading screen was just a big ring, and it appeared as if the movie was stuck, so I refreshed a couple of times. when I just voted a '1' on this, I saw that the movie actually DID load, and I tought SHIT! and watched the movie.

I enjoyed it very much, and I'm happy that it came through.
I'm gonna vote what it deserves tomorrow, and hope the current score will be much higher in time!

noname2 responds:

It's ok, everebody makes mistakes. Glad you liked. =)
